Our Business

     Over the years, HRC has built a unique database of Family Name Histories.  In this database, we have compiled detailed and accurate historical backgrounds covering over  1 million family names, including their meaning, origin and reference to them in history.  All are individually and originally researched, carefully recorded and can be printed in the form of a Family Name History scroll in moments.  Each history tells the story behind the name by using facts written as an interesting work of literature.  We do not resort to extensive generic material.

     HRC also has a computerized graphic arts database, with the ability to reproduce full color Coats of Arms in the vivid colors originally used hundreds of years ago.  Though many people think that Coats of Arms were only granted to nobility, HRC can actually find this fascinating insignia for more than ninety percent of all names submitted - All from valid sources. 

     These impressive Coats of Arms can be incorporated into customized products including hand embroidered Coats of Arms, hand painted plaques, jewelry, timepieces and apparel.

Who We Are

     The work of Historical Research Center began over 20 years ago with a project to research the history of Family Names from around the world.  Today our Headquarters in Florida supports licensees located in the USA and many other countries.  Many dealers have multiple sales locations.  But even so our products remain as an exclusive business that is nowhere near saturated.   We like to say that we have only “scratched the surface” of available sales potential.

     The HRC databases of Family Name Histories and Coats of Arms truly reflect a multi-national population, and our histories reflect origins and data from over 125 different countries and cultures.  Some names on our database refer to the names of countries and locations that have changed names over the centuries, and people are truly amazed that we can find information about their heritage.
